IRC.BIO Ibudilast Solution Review (Independent)

IRC.Bio is an independent Research Chemical retailer and is growing in popularity due to the Innovative compounds they offer. Ibudilast is no exception, Ibudilast is a potent anti-inflammatory that has been studied for Multiple Sclerosis [1] [2] [3] as well as Asthma, where it is currently approved in Japan as a medical treatment; sold as a pill, solution and injectable [4] [5]. It has some research in the potential treatment of Crohn's Disease and Inflammatory Bowel Disease but these bits of research are more or less in their infancy [6] [7] [8].

Now, keep in mind that Ibudilast is sold as a Powder and Solution on IRC.Bio, the possible side-effects, of which I only experienced two (increased sweating, and mild Anxiety during the first hour after ingestion), are usually very mild and experienced in less than half of the people who take it [9].

There are some isolated cases of elevated liver enzymes [10] [AST/ALT] in an even smaller proportion of enrollees/patients. These events are not regarded as symptomatic (they are asymptomatic; without symptoms) nor are they seen as a danger to the patient, though caution is advised in patients with a history a liver disease.

My experience with Ibudilast is somewhat subtle. The solution was taken at 20 MG per day (relatively low dose) and was taken every day of the week without break. There is no need to cycle this medication. The most obvious effects were the following...

  • An improved sense of Mental Clarity.
  • An improved sense of recall.
  • An improved all-round energy level.
  • A decrease in appetite.
  • An increase in the potency of Caffeine.
These effects all occurred by Day 3, and continued throughout the 30-day course of taking this 'supplement'.

Rodents also noticed a decrease in appetite, with no obvious changes in interactions with their mates or fellow mouse brethren. A couple of the rodent subjects seemed to experience gastrointestinal discomfort and this led to some irritability and decreased maze movement.

Some rodents did experience increased alertness, though slight.

As far as my duration of use, I can say I will be buying this again, though it isn't the hardest hitting nootropic, I can consider it a nootropic, and a prominent one; solely because it improved mental clarity and because it enhanced recall. This is probably due to Ibudilast's PDE4-inhibiting effects which allow for a greater concentration of cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP) to accumulate in the Brain [11]. This leads to increased transcription factors, increased nerve cell growth and a functional enhancement of neurotransmission [12]. There is no doubt this translates well into my experience and others such as LostFalco who have also enjoyed their experience with this chemical. I conclude that this product is very useful and the research backs it up [13].

    1. The dropper is easy to use, they have marks for 2.5 mL and 5 mL.

    2. Just to ask how you use the Ibudilast solution? Is it ok to just add it in a small amount of water and drink it? Have you felt the numbness in tongue and mouth that lasted for about 10 minutes after application?

  2. Does it have any affect on the mTOR pathway?
