Does human urine attract rats/mice? (Does Human Urine Attract Rodents 2018)

No, any presence of any other mammal (such as with urine which indicates such a presence) generally repels rodents - as they may think they are walking into a potentially dangerous situation or possibly, a conflict, to which they are clearly smart enough to know they won’t fair well against a larger mammal.

Chemically, they are repelled by the smell of human urine and mammal urine and ammonia type smell etc.

However, many Urban (city) mice/rats have grown accustomed (desensitized) to human urine - so much that the curiosity alone is enough along with the motivation to find a new home and food - to regardless, enter an environment.

    1. Male or Female don't make a difference! But I think Male Urine would be more appalling to the Rodents. Given there is a higher excretion of Ammonia and other fractions of Men's Urine that have stronger odors.
