What many people want to know though, is what kind of effect does Wellbutrin have on sex hormones; namely Testosterone?
- Wellbutrin decreases Prolactin in Men & Women, though to a lesser extent than in rats [6].
- Wellbutrin increases DHEA-S levels [7].
- Wellbutrin mildly increased Testosterone in some men [8].
- Wellbutrin had some effects on cytokines [9].
- Wellbutrin increased gonadotropins in 1 study out of 11 [10].
CONCLUSION: Wellbutrin (Bupropion) does not have enough evidence to say it is a ''testosterone-booster'' but it certainly doesn't have negative effects on hormones.
