Supplements and Herbs to Alleviate / Block Antihistamine Side-Effects (Naturally) Such as Memory Impairment and Fatigue (While still taking the Medication)

This article aims to compile a list of herbs and supplements that can minimize antihistamine sedation and cognitive impairment (memory issues). Because the mechanisms of these drugs are well-known - there are ways to counter their effects - however, by doing so - we may tend to reduce their sedative effects so supplementation should be timed in morning or mid-day time in order to key in a proper balance.

All suggestions are followed by citations/sources which clearly point out , without a doubt , that the function of the given supplement can directly oppose the impairment caused by the reference drug.

AntiHistamine's which penetrate the blood-brain-barrier (easier passing into the brain) are notorious and also honed for significant sedative effects. Anti-Psychotic drugs which are used to sedate aggressive Psychiatric patients also hold the aformentioned antihistamine property - which is the main reason for their sedative action/s.

So, how do we counter-act these effects?

A: By first gaining an understanding of how they work.

Antihistamines, also known as H(1) receptor antagonists - block histamine H1 receptors - that means they prevent your natural neurons from activating one of the most stimulating receptors in the brain.

Imagine a key and a lock - the key is your histamine, the lock is the receptor ...to open the 'door' for histamine, your brain cell, to cooperate and work - it must open that door by fitting into the lock (receptor)  =-= once it turns the lock - histamine enters and does it's work!

Histamine speeds up the pace at which all other neurons communicate - and it increases and amplifies the voltage (electrical current) in the brain, antihistamines are blocking histamine from coming through the door and causing this effect. Thereby reducing voltage because the signal to increase voltage never arrives....in order to reverse this...we need to temporarily reinstate histamine's actions by pushing the momentum enough to cause an overflow OR by activating another similar transmitter to histamine in the proper proportions. :)

The easiest way to do this is with an herb called GINKGO BILOBA EXTRACT. {see study here or click image below to ENLARGE}

The best brand of Ginkgo I have found is listed below for your convenience.

Pro's and Con's of Ginkgo Biloba Extracts / Products for Alzheimer's Disease / Dementia (Includes the 'Hard Science')

Ginkgo; a chinese herb noted for it's brain-health promoting activities - is also an inexpensive remedy for neurodegenerative disorders. Many 'natural health doctors' advocate for specific preservation of forests containing Ginkgo in order to accommodate the marketing of high-quality extracts.

Despite it being a common , and abundant plant - many companies assert their ginkgo is cultivated in the best area's, ''has the best ratio of active components' etc.... and yet there is still debate as to the actual criteria one must fit into for Ginkgo to be effective and even whether it is actually that effective overall.

Some studies cast serious doubt that Ginkgo even has a benefit in neurodegenerative disorders and elderly Dementia. While others show significant benefit in comparison to placebo.

In order to understand why there is contrasting results, we need to take a look at the pharmacology of the substance ; as it is clear that each extract used in both studies is the same - and thus the issue is not one of purity.

PHARMACOLOGY / MECHANISM(S) OF ACTION OF GINKGO BILOBA

  • Ginkgo acts to preserve certain brain receptors; notably the 5-HT(1)A and muscarinic acetylcholine receptors (1) (2).
  • Ginkgo appears to stimulate histamine neurons (3).
  • Ginkgo appears to be a strong norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor (4).
  • Ginkgo's constitute's selectively block GABAergic neurotransmission.
  • Ginkgo seems to downregulate 5-HT2A receptors (5).
  • Ginkgo appears to downregulate or decrease the responsiveness of serotonergic 5-HT1 receptor family. (6)
  • Ginkgo has glycine-site antagonistic properties (7)
  • Ginkgo decreases beta-amyloid plaques slightly. (8)
  • Ginkgo thins the blood and boosts blood flow (9)
  • Ginkgo enhances nitric oxide and blocks degradative enzymes. (10) (11)
  • Ginkgo can modulate alpha-2-receptors (can agonize or antagonize) (12)
  • Ginkgo may faciliate dopamine release (13)
  • Ginkgo may decrease aldosterone and cortisol (14)

A couple notations :
Ginkgo's properties ; the majority of which are beneficial - also, from a pharmacological point of view contradict themselves . For example - one of the goals of blocking serotonergic neurons from a memory perspective - is to facilitate glutamatergic (of glutamate) and cholinergic (of acetylcholine) neurotransmission, and glycine is a partition of the strongest glutamate receptor (NMDA-complex) - so Ginkgo, by blocking glycine sites - reduces some of the benefits of it's other actions of reducing serotonergic receptors and activity.

With respect to the 5-HT1A promoting effects of Ginkgo - this is an interesting bit - as both agonists and antagonists of the receptor have shown differential memory-improving effects (15) (16) (17) (18).

(Summary : Ginkgo's properties seem to move things in the right direction =-= but some properties are contradicting)

THE 'HARD SCIENCE'

There are a few reasons why Ginkgo erk's me - and to be clear - it's not a bad herb. It's actually very beneficial, but I need to expand on the above points.

First of all - Ginkgo's differential effects on different systems may provoke unwanted side-effects; and it may not be ideal for those with anxiety and / or temperament issues. This is in part due to it's GABA-antagonism but also due to it's Glycine antagonism - which we will get to next as a primary (and reinforcing) point.

GLYCINE RECEPTOR SITE ANTAGONISM BY GINKGO BILOBA
( The Low Point of Ginkgo's Function ; and not a Pretty Sight )

I'  like to reiterate again before we proceed - that I am not , have not , and never will be (most likely) against Ginkgo products. However, this glycine-antagonism component of Ginkgo (!) should be taken for what it is - the 'dark side' of ginkgo's mechanism of action.

Why?

Well first and foremost - because glycine is a necessary anti-aging component to the {human} brain and also is necessary for sanity (literally). Those with low levels of glycine; ESPECIALLY limbic and cortical levels - are prone to both obsessive-compulsive-behavior and Psychotic features...as well as cognitive deficits {see-here} {and here} {and HERE}

Interesting then, how Ginkgo may be promoted as a brain-booster but yet - one mechanism is highly contradictory to this effect.

        THE GOOD GUY IN GINKGO

~!~ ~!~ It's still a GodSend ~!~ ~!~

Don't let the above dishearten you too much about Ginkgo....

The majority of Ginkgo's components are still very much so a plausible union of notable and advantageous compounds - and for healthy individuals - Ginkgo can help keep you healthy! (!)

It may also Prove to be an effective brain-tonic for studies in College; for exam's and such - more so to be taken daily/in the long-run - but can provide benefits before a test as well! {~!~}

Ginkgo may help alleviate the negative cognitive side-effects of blood-brain-penetrating antihistamines and thus reduce remarkably, the lethargy and memory issues whilst on these drugs ~(!)~

The net effect of Ginkgo extracts is still increased acetylcholinergic neurotransmission, enhanced norepinephrine activity (especially locus coreulus) and thus enhanced awareness, cognitive performance and a slightly increased intellectual capacity by some ends.

The histaminergic aspect is also very Enlightening and Promising. :)

Alpha-1-Adrenergic Receptors and Violent Criminals/Sociopaths ( As Well Sexual Sadists )

One of the most significant consistencies in anger-excitation Rapists and sexual sadists - is that they often have been found to have lower heart rate's (1) (2). Some violent criminals are found to have elevated epinephrine levels (adrenaline) (3) (4) (5) - the discrepancy here though is that high adrenaline isn't necessarily a psychological parallel to those who 'seek' further adrenaline bursts...

..But the answer isn't that simple as either high or low; because adrenaline activities on human physiology differ based on the receptor activated.
Adrenaline decreases heart rate and increases blood pressure by both alpha-1 and alpha-2 receptors, whereas by beta-receptors it increases heart rate and can either increase or decrease blood pressure.

So we could hypothesize that violent criminals have elevated levels of adrenaline ONLY at the alpha-receptors - but then we would have to enter into the debate about WHY they have more alpha-activation and not beta activation.

Now, as for some putative evidence

DO PSYCHOPATHS/SOCIOPATHS HAVE MORE ALPHA-1-ADRENERGIC ADRENALINE ACTIVITY??

Most likely.

Take a look at these few studies.

After you've finished reading that - take a look at a study on a common decongestant medication used in SudaFed P.E - the active ingredient is PHENYLEPHRINE HCL - which mimics adrenaline at the alpha-1-receptor - and has been shown to impair oxygenation in the frontal lobe specifically.

NOTE : The study demonstrated resting oxygenation - which could explain why violent criminals and rapists feel the need to seek stimulation - because it raises oxygen to a near appropriate amount (but still not normal level) .

Consistent again with this hypothesis, is phenylephrine and alpha-1-activation in general ; decreases heart rate and increases blood pressure - and alpha-1-activation is also very much so implicated in aggressive behavior - both in indices of fear-based aggression and paranoid-aggression as well as impulsive aggression...

..The Cold medicine Suda Fed P.E is also known to cause both childhood and adolescent aggression - and has implicated in elderly hostility as well {see here}.

A final, and perhaps more notable concept for some - is the irony behind the science above and how supposedly, many serial killers are impotent (!) (!!)...and ironically (or not) - alpha-1-activation is involved as a primary role in the pathophysiology of erectile dysfunction...both because of it's role in stress response and because it ramps up the nervous system to accommodate more 'serious tasks'...and if you really think about it - psychopaths are a bit 'too serious' and seem to thrive off of the vibe and occurrence of struggle and conflict.

This still actually improves the low adrenaline hypothesis as well - if psychopaths and sociopaths as well as borderline violent criminals exhibit increased alpha-1 and 2 activation - then they would display the characteristics of both a high and low adrenaline phenotype - while having a low heart rate..the alpha-2-activation keeps adrenaline at bay (this receptor keys down adrenaline production) - but when it does rise , it goes STRAIGHT for the volatile alpha-1-adrenergic receptors.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So I'd say we have pretty good evidence that these violent, callous members of society (and those locked up) have increased alpha-1-activation/alpha-2-activation.

SudaFed P.E (Phenylephrine HCL) and Nasal Decongestants { Pharmacological Overview } of their Psychological Effects and Effects on Multiple Body / Brain Functions

PHENYLEPHRINE is a sympathomimetic substance (it stimulates the sympathetic nervous system and either acts like adrenaline or increases adrenaline production)... in this case, P.E HCL (MIMICS) adrenaline by activating (selectively) the Alpha-1-adrenergic receptors...this causes constriction of blood vessels in the nasal mucosa and also elsewhere in the body / brain.

Side-effects of the drug include.

  • Changes in heart rate (increase, or more commonly decrease) (1) (2)
  • Increased blood pressure. (3) (4) (5)
  • Anxiety, paranoia, Agitation.
  • Changes in cognitive ability.
  • Decreased resistance to psychological stress.
  • Erectile Dysfunction (11) (12) (13) (14)
  • Decreased oxygen delivery to frontal lobe. (7)

~NOTATIONS~

Phenylephrine, like adrenaline, constricts blood vessels in the brain and body - this is the basis for it's benefits in the nasal passageways..but also the basis for it's side-effects. The research also makes for an interesting leap and / or reinforcement in violent behavior - as alpha-1-agonists decrease oxygen to the frontal lobe - it may be worth noting that adrenaline by the alpha-1-receptor may play an activating role on sociopathic/remorseless behavior...this does not mean phenylephrine will cause one to become murderous -- but it may affect behavior by affecting oxygen delivery even in previously unaffected individuals.

ALPHA-1-ADRENERGIC ACTIVATION GENERALLY DECREASES HEART RATE

Because alpha-1-activation has a tendency to increase blood pressure (actually, it always does) - the heart rate naturally goes down to compensate for alterations in vascular tone and reduced blood flow. The heart rate usually goes up when one is scared or nervous , so it's possible that this occurs in some situations of phenylephrine intake....especially in those with an anxiety disorder...however, in most individuals - it will decrease heart rate ...in proportion with blood pressure increases...if your blood pressure is LOW - heart rate may also go up - again, to compensate for lack of blood flow and ensure blood is flowing to/in the extremeties. The difference is dilation is generally healthier for all body tissues.

When heavy exercise and lifting occurs - alpha-1-receptors naturally become either blocked or downregulated - so some of the benefit of exercise on the heart and blood flow comes from the eventual BODILY derived alpha-blockade....  (!) (!!) (!!!)

The Mediating Discovery - Everything is in Place, Aligned, Readied!

This week I will finish my unrelenting conquest - I will finally obtain the results I have been working for.
I will transcend everything, and will achieve the epitome of my Potential.

The final obstacles to the making of my  revolution will be removed - and the brightest stages of human enlightenment must now begin.
This night , 11-22-2015 marks the night of a new wave of determination - a mental motto intent on finishing what I've started. The fuels of my passions and the emanations of my Stamina now must bring about Prosperity and equalization of the current chaos....the results must be to reinforce those who have prior assisted me - and then to build a new future.

The message beyond this is clear.

I will update this post again in a few days.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
:UPDATE: (12/15/2015)
I have finally discovered the remaining pieces of Clarity - I have discovered a new set of important elements. I have finally re-absorbed a taste of what was lost. I am intent to regain it completely, Inspiration is not the Word. Realization and Acclimation are the Words. To assimilate the Proper prerequisites - one must first think outside the box.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

NOTE : This write-up is not indicative of an aggressive asset or intent - but rather, in a poetic sense - the spurring of new ideas by evoking 'Visual Thought'. The Post is written as a collaboration of image and word-play to hypothetically determine an outcome that 'may be' based on attempts of rigorous self-perfectionism.

The Coded Dilemma of Hook-Ups : Dispatched Mental Struggles VS Compatibility Assessments

The Provident Constructs of human sexuality (and intimacy) have predominated our culture - but I do not have a problem with this. However, there is a decision to be made , specifically in the assessment of whether hook-ups are worth it.

Whether they are 'moral' is actually irrelevant for my point today.

Hook-ups are a practical alternative with perhaps more spontaneity than perhaps hiring a call girl, for example..and for women - they are exactly the type of spontaneity needed for diffused passion and a night of no-strings-attached pleasure...

Hookups are the ultimate guard of sexual construct proliferation but the best part is they are better than infidelity and cheating... as long as they are committed to (oh the irony) by Single, unmarried individuals.

However, hook-ups bring problems if the personna / ideology does not match within the two individuals...and I'm not talking deep-seated beliefs, solely.. No, I'm talking about emotional connectivity and more importantly, STABILITY so as to avoid mixed signals..or moreso ''distorted signals'...because one person's definition of "WANT" is different than another's definition...the result of hook-ups where compatibility is not at all assessed...is a possible (but not necessarily probable) miscommunication and emotional misunderstanding between two individuals...perhaps moreso if the girl or man involved is biPolar or covertly emotionally disturbed.

Even a sequel so simplistic as a simple make-out session can turn into fixation for say, an erotomanic or someone with 'obsessive-love-disorder'..which is why , regardless of how inconvenient you think it is  - you should always ANALYZE the personality of the person you are hooking up with...not to sacrifice being easy-going or to remove pleasure - but rather to ensure that the bout is likely to be worth it...

Sometimes It's Just About Threshold - How Paranoia and Anxiety Grow On Despair & Fatigue Rather than on Mania (Ruminations are in Lethargy)

Many people seem to think that Paranoia is one in the same with  manic reaction - or is always associated with a 'fight-or-flight' state..but many times - it's the opposite . Tonight taught me that .

Tonight taught me that a lack of awareness rather than hypervigilance can be the greatest precipitator of paranoia and 'odd-thoughts'...the remedy?

Oddly enough, it wasn't less Caffeine...or more rest, it was adding more of a different stimulant (that I thought would be too much)...instead of creating a worsening of fear and irritability - what was a little more than What I thought necessary actually 'snapped me outta it'...this proves that darkness and despair associated with SLEEP DEPRIVATION - and OCD type thoughts are more related to Fatigue and not being 'with-it'....and this does not mean that Stimulants are the ONLY solution - I'm just stating that sometimes it's a 'threshold'...a little bit of stim ain't enough but HOLY SHIT - a little more after that gave me clarity..sanity, and life again!

I'm not an addict. I'm just someone who often feels the need to be productive despite not getting much sleep the night before... I'm more a workaholic than anything...

What I'm saying here is probably common sense to a lot of people...I'm just discussing it in a more formal way as a sort of, reinforcement to non-mainstream type ideologies....like for instance, some DOCS might say that more stimulant will make you more paranoid...but NOT IF sleep loss is the REASON for it...or maybe that's just me and a few others...

LOL

Point is, what I am privy to is an enlightening fact. I hope others can not take this as an absolute but at least take it into consideration....that sometimes biology is more a constant than psychology..but of course, sometimes it's the other way around!

So when I was in darkness , ruminations are strong - what I mean is - without clarity and vigilance..ruminations can take control...so being aware and having some degree of sympathetic nervous system stimulation is necessary to actually AVERT ruminations (feelings that something is wrong or bad is going to happen, excessive negative thoughts). But, TOO MUCH STIMULATION reproduces a more MANIC , fidgety form of this whole scenario!

....but you can certainly be FATIGUED and not-so-aware and still have hand tremors...so don't think that nervous system stimulation in excess is NECESSARY for tremors etc...and yet ironically then, too much stimulation can cause the same deal.....!

THIS WHOLE POST IS SIMPLY TAKING INTO ACCOUNT PERSONAL EXPERIENCE FOR THE BENEFIT OF OTHERS....  sorry for the dramatic effect!

....but of course, I'm a philosopher..so I'm used to it and really not sorry !  ;)

Hope ya'll enjoyed this post and learned something from it!

Supplements / Herbs that Reduce/Decrease Adrenaline Levels (not blocking receptors but reducing levels of)

Adrenal hyper-secretion is a tough predicament - especially when it is causing Insomnia which steadily depletes the rest of your integrity and strength. Your vitality is slowly weakened by anxiety , panic, and frustration. This dilemma, this seemingly unsolvable situation is either untouched by drugs and even the most potent sedative or anti-anxiety herbs...where to turn next?

...The thing is....

Most people are looking at it all wrong!

You can't use "common-day" herbs to reduce adrenaline; Valerian, hops, Chamomile , shit like that..won't work!

YOU need something that specifically acts WITHIN THE ADRENALS to reduce adrenaline secretion directly...something that actually TONES DOWN the amplitude of neural release!

To do so - we need to examine herbs which have demonstrated SELECTIVITY within that gland... one such herb is...

1.) Magnolia OFFICINALIS ~!~  Magnolia Offinalis is an active ingredient in the anti-stress formula RELORA which currently has multiple patents and diverse medical application in treating post-menopausal stress disorders and some mild forms of PTSD as well as G.A.D exacerbated by acute and chronic stress. It also shows efficacy ALONE in healthy women experiencing stress {!}.

{Magnolia reduces Sodium Channel and Calcium Channel evoked adrenaline release as well as Acetylcholine induced catecholamine efflux}

Reinforcing this, it also blocks adrenaline-induced contraction of HUMAN Prostate strips and thus reduces urinary hesitancy in a manner similar to a1-blocking drugs for Prostate issues such as Flomax (Tamulosin) and Prazosin.

It's also mentioned in the book/paper Dietary and botanical anxiolytics - which is currently mentioned in many formal medical texts and a HUGE reference point for herbalists, practicing hollistic doctors and researchers in the field.

Magnolia also has anti-inflammatory effects and can help fight LYME DISEASE!
It has substantial ANTI-ANXIETY EFFECTS as mentioned in the above book.
{ HERE IT IS AGAIN}

My recommended brand of Magnolia is below. Just click the image. Lab-Certified, organic, and tellable by SMELL! (smells good and definitely magnolia OFFICINALIS)

OTHER SUPS THAT REMOVE EXCESS ADRENALINE

2.)   Zinc and Magnesium Orotate (liquid)
Magnesium directly decreases norepinephrine and lowers elevated blood pressure as well as potently decreases anxiety in humans and animals (1) (2) (3).

Zinc helps reduce norepinephrine by reducing excess Copper and antagonizing the action of Copper and other heavy metals such as Lead and Cadmium.

Selenium may also help to antagonize toxic metals and specifically against Mercury, Arsenic and to some (lesser) extent, Lead.

This product below tastes GREAT, is Refreshing and gets the Job done!! ;)

Difference/s between Alpha-Male's and Psychopath's/Sociopath's

Many people think of Alpha-Males (the enduring, king of 'males) as one in the same as or having great similarities to; Psychopaths (remorseless self serving humans). However, the differences are more striking than the similarities, and much more important.

First off...

                                           KEY POINTS

  • An alpha-male actually cares about , to some degree, his spouse and children. His methods of parenting may be stricter by contrast than a father with less testosterone but none the less - still has genuine concern (generally).  A Psychopath desires control foremost, and if he does value his offspring it is totally for a self-serving purpose or because he sees himself in the Child.
  • An alpha generally man's up to take care of his Child; a psychopath usually* could care less.
  • Alpha-male's thus will defend (by force if necessary) their families and children from intruder's and will show little to no mercy on their adversaries or those who wish to take harm on them.
  • A psychopath may defend his family but the intent is to reflect as a caring human being and keep up his image as 'normal'
  • Alpha-male's have excellent risk-assessment and take risks only after analyzing them thoroughly. Because of that, they are excellent at making business decisions and handling / attributing funds.

GOING FURTHER - GENERAL PSYCHOLOGY

  • Alpha-Male's can be genuinely altruistic people who help those in need - and while they may spar and argue with other alpha's or those on the opposing side of a debate or fight - they take interest into helping the poor or needy and especially if a woman or girl is in danger or any kid / child is in danger.
  • Psychopath's could care less and may even get aroused at the sight of danger, death or destruction. If a Psychopath happens to become altruistic or display valiant acts; it is not genuine and rather to boost their image or people's trust in them.
  • Alpha-Male's are generally logical, and they tell it like it is - they don't beat around the bush or make excuses for themselves, while Psychopath's make excuses all the time and are used to blaming their problems on someone else.
  • Alpha-Male's are workaholics but they do not need to lie or con to get the job done; they simply aim to be the best at what they do and are by contrast, the best in their field.
  • A Psychopath cons and lies to rise their position and usually engages in spiteful and deceptive behavior to challenge out and rid their opponents or whom they perceive as opponents.

EXCEPTIONS AND NOTATIONS

  • Technically, it is possible to be both an Alpha-Male AND a Psychopath, at first glance..however, it's the internal desires that really set them apart so ultimately it's difficult to tell especially if both are in high-ranking positions; such as Politics.
  • Alpha-Male's and Psychopath's do have some similar pathology but also very different, alpha-male's are very dominant people but their dominance is discriminative (only in certain scenario's where it is called for, such as work) whereas Psychopath's seem to like to pick fights and are generally very malicious characters.
  • This also highlight's , for example, the difference between a mob boss and say, a serial killer...a mob boss is more alpha-male like but have some exchange of psychopathic traits - however, their violence is channeled and generally, only when the situation 'calls for it'.....in which case it is determined as 'protecting assets' and 'business' which is a method of territorial behavior passed down through primal instincts.
  • People like Ted Bundy on the other hand have a more linear, violent passion which is derived from their own specific compulsions which has not much if anything to do with monetary gain.
  • Another 'in popular culture' reference could be the difference between say Bugsy Siegel and The Joker from batman..Siegel being more alpha-male like and Joker being a complete psychopath.
  • Psychopath's are not always violent though - in fact, most aren't..their main method of operation is simply stealing, lying, conning, and starting psychological wars between two people or simply getting on people's nerves.

OTHER DISTINGUISHABLE TRAITS OF ALPHA-MALE'S  (Behavioral)

  • Alpha-Male's prefer , if not already committed, no-strings attached sexual relationships.. this may include hook-ups, flings, expensive call-girls etc....and as such.
  • Alpha-Male's are not content to 'wank' or 'jerk-off'' as they would rather go out and exert themselves with a real partner.  This does not mean they don't masturbate - it just means they prefer the 'real deal' for the majority of their sexual activities.
  •  Alpha-Male's do not blink much - they also don't flinch hardly at all - if at all - and don't scare easily.
  • Alpha-Male's handle stress like a pro; they tackle it and move forward and keep moving forward nearly without hesitation - when they get knocked down they get back up - but most of the time they create circumstances to ensure they don't get knocked down in the first place.
  • Alpha-Male's hold their head HIGH and can read people like a book - they can sense and dissect abrasive minds and can sense a coward and the fearful from a mile away. In other words - alpha-male's are super in-tune with their instincts and VERY Insightful..their analysis is rarely, if ever, biased and based on logic as opposed to personal feelings.

Natural / Herbal Dopamine Beta-Hydroxylase (DBH) Inhibitor Supplements

Dopamine-beta-hydroxylase is an enzyme that simply converts (more or less transforms) dopamine (the pleasure hormone) into norepinephrine (a form of adrenaline) . When this enzyme is over-produced or genetically over-active - the result is a predisposition to Anxiety, stale temperament , irritability , Panic, and violent behavior.

As too much norepinephrine counters the calming effects of both dopamine and GABA - a plausible resolution to preventing this type of noradrenaline buildup would be to prevent it's production by dopamine - thus leaving dopamine in it's active, non-stimulating/inotropic state.

As dopamine is largely incapable of producing CNS stimulation without noradrenaline - the optimal routine to lowering states of excessive sympathetic activity would be to investigate into....

SUPPLEMENTS / HERBS THAT BLOCK DBH

I've found two herbs that do this.

1.)  CALIFORNIA POPPY (Eschscholzia californica);  Known as the 'State Flower' of California which has medicinal properties. It grows in mostly Southern areas but is often cultivated in north western herb gardens as well. It is used for euphoric and pain relieving properties. As well as sometimes being touted as a local aphrodisiac.

(see study here in relation to the plant's DBH-inhibiting properties)

My recommended 'brand' of California Poppy is below for your convenience. It is extracted properly for 'active constitutes' and has been lab-verified.

2.)   ST.JOHN'S WORT - Is an herb found both in the USA and Europe - commonly used for Depression and AnxietyThis study examines it's extremely high-affinity inhibition of DBH and ability to repeatedly, consistently and dramatically increase dopamine concentrations EVERYWHERE! It is also very safe and has no significant effect on blood pressure or heart rate (!).

My recommended brand of St.John's Wort is the organic, supercritical, lab-certified New Chapter extract...it's literally the only one I trust and perhaps the only one that actually has real SJW in it... (or at least one retaining all of it's active components without being burned away by processing techniques)
