10 Supplements to Increase Dopamine Receptors (How to Increase Dopamine Receptors With Supplements) (Increased D1 And D2 Receptors With Supplements)

Some of these suggestions were also mentioned in this 2015 article of mine, but I am listing them here for ease of access and convenience.

These 10 supplements are shown to increase dopamine receptor density naturally. Each of them has their own specific set of behavioral effects and each impacts longevity to a minor degree, but has major effect on mood and motivation due to their interaction with dopamine receptors.

References are listed in parenthesis with a number.

Click the number to follow the PubMed/ResearchGate reference relevant to the supplement in question. It will send you to the specific study showing the ingredient can increase dopamine receptors in living subjects.

Also, clicking the name of the supplement will bring you to my recommended brand name and store page for that product, i.e clicking ''Uridine'' will bring you to a page where you can see prices and buy the product/s.

9.) Caffeine. (either drinking Coffee daily or taking pills) (18) (19) (20)
10.) Increase Testosterone levels; with a Testosterone booster containing genuine Bulbine Natalensis (not the fake crap being mass produced) - such as the product Test-Stack RX Pro.17.  (21) (22) (23) (24)

Histamine and Sight : A Collection of Research Shows Histamine Does More In The Eye Than Produce Itching & Watering

A 1987 study noted that histamine is found in the human eye. They found that histamine in the human eye is higher in individuals suffering from ''endophthalmitis''; an inflammation of the internal coats of the Eye. They also found it to be moderately elevated in those with glaucoma.

However, up until a few years ago, the medical community and scientists haven't been able to pinpoint exactly how histamine affects vision. A 1985 summary `Histaminergic mechanisms in the vertebrate visual system` attempted to elucidate the molecular mechanisms of histamine signaling within the retina and optic nerve system. Then there was the 1990 citation : Histamine in the retina: recent progress and perspectives. These were minor in comparison to the newest paper on the topic.

What they found was that histamine dramatically affects light sensitivity, primarily by modulating dopaminergic neuron activity in the retina (see paragraph 2 under discussion of the final link above).
This essentially means that histamine 'regulates' the activity of other nerves.
To put it in real-life scenarios, histamine would be expected to.

  1. Decrease sensitivity to the light when release is at its maximum in the human retina.
  2.  Increases adaptation to dark/night time (as long as H1-receptors are available)
  3. Allows one to distinguish objects and 'filter' the light when necessary.
That's just a start.

Read this paper to find out more about it, and for a better understanding of that particular function of histamine in relation to light sensitivity & ON Ganglion Cells.

What they found is that...

  • Histamine is necessary for visual acquisition (learning by visual experience), visual perceptual processing (proper perception of all things and people in sight) and for distinguishing detail (intensity of lights, colors, depth etc).
  • Histamine plays an even larger role in REACTION TIME. It is vital for proper performance and vigilance during activities like driving, tracking, target practice/shooting etc.
  • Histamine plays a role as well in environmental observation, including of layouts, maps, and anything in which multiple objects, variables or codings are present in the same area at the same time etc, therefore antihistamines could impair mathmatical, particularly geometry skills, as well as oversight skills such as on a construction job etc. This is consistent with the advertisements you see on commercials and the literature we see in school books and high-grade medical school books.

Another paper, dated for May 14, 2012, named ''Retinopetal Axons in Mammals: Emphasis on Histamine and Serotonin'', goes into specific retinal axons, axons are 'long thread-like part of the nerve cell in which impulses are conducted from the cell body to other cells'.

In other words, axons are our brains and organs lightning rods, they conduct the electrical nerve impulses, or jolts, nerve jolts, to other cells and have the longest 'reach', it's the literal 'long-body' of the nerve sending electricity.

In this reference, it talks about how "our retinas, human retinas, receive input from the brain via axons emerging from the optic nerve''.

It goes on to talk about how histamine interacts with not only neurons, but also blood vessels in the retina. Histamine plays a role in inflammatory responses in the eye, as cited in the beginning of this article, so under conditions of allergy or allergic reaction, histamines increase and there is not only itching, and watery eyes, but also possibly changes in light sensitivity, floaters, and other uncomfortable symptoms.

Given histamines widespread effect on blood vessels everywhere, not just in the eye, this explains the epithelial vasodilation, or increased blood flow to the skin, and increased sensitivity of the skin during allergic reaction or allergen exposure.

See these links/papers.

                                                     IN CONLUSION
  1. Histamine affects our sensitivity to light, generally decreasing it but also increasing dark adaptation or ability to adapt to night-time and night-time light patterns.
  2. Histamine is needed for sensorimotor performance, including visual perception, orientation, identification, reaction time and observation of visual detail, thus, is crucial in concern to geometric tasks, spatial patterns, driving, target practice, oversight jobs, environmental work, observation/analysis of moving or still objects in the environment, of which histamine H1-receptors play a primary role but H2-receptors and H3-receptors also play important roles.
  3. Histamine also affects vision, and ocular inflammation is under the predominant control of histamine, among others like leukotrienes etc.
  4. Histamine causes floaters in some cases, and itchiness, redness, watery eyes etc, when exposed to allergens etc.
  5. Histamine directly affects blood vessels which then affects ocular function and retinal nerve function. Histamine impacts blood flow, affecting the opening and closing of various coronary blood vessels as well as pulmonary targets.

Barlowe's Tongkat Ali Review (Review of Barlowes Herbal Elixirs 200:1 Tongkat Ali Extract)

                           { Barlowe's Home Page Is Here --> www.barlowesherbalelixirs.com }

This is an independent review of Barlowe's Herbal Elixirs 200:1 Extract of Tongkat Ali also known by its botanical name as ''eurycoma longifolia''. It is a popular test-booster but so widespread, and with so many variations that it makes it difficult to pinpoint legitimate products with high-potency.

Michael Barlowe, the owner of the Shop is one of the most honest guys I know, and he does not engage in sketchy, unscrupulous or arguably proliferative marketing techniques like many other supplement salesman.

Now well before I actually had ever communicated with him (by phone, querying products) I had heard good things on some bodybuilding forums, mostly word of mouth and some gentle recommendations, upon further investigation, I observed his website and saw that it too, was gentle, and not flashing all over the place with banners and 'sponsor' ads.

Here's a preview of his home page / website front page. Click the image to enlarge it so you get can get a preview before you go on his site.

Additionally, I was surprised that he was one of the few individuals that was supplying certificate of analysis with his products. A relieving fact, because I had previously been concerned about quality and purity in many other supplement brands I had tried. I honestly don't like the fact that so many supplement companies refuse to produce a COA or certificate of analysis with their products or when asked for it. Some would see the failure to provide such test results on paper (essentially what a COA is, lab verified paperwork from a third-party lab, a well known lab telling you that the supplement analyzed is indeed what is shown on the label and how many parts per million of heavy metals are in it for safety purposes), as a red-flag as to the companies legitimacy, I on the other hand see it as ignorance in many cases.

That doesn't mean that I shun other supplement companies that don't produce a COA, but unless I have tested their products or at least tried them personally, or see what I feel are legitimate reviews, then I probably won't respect them as much (with only a few exceptions).

He also packs most of his products in glass bottles, rather than plastic bottles, with exception only of this 200:1 Tongkat Ali product. He uses stearate-free herbal extracts and no unearthly or man-made preservatives, it's 100% pure herb with no additives

So those are all good points that set him apart from the rest of supplement manufacturers/shopowners.

Now let's get to the point.

My rating of Barlowe's Tongkat Ali 200:1 "Sumatra Pasak Bumi" Extract is a 5/5.

You'll see why in a moment...

LOOK / TASTE

Even though it has an ashy like taste and look, and smells funny (though, I actually enjoy the 'smoky' smell), you can tell upon further inspection it is real herb, Tongkat ali, and that it has all of the visual and olfactory hallmarks specifically of 'Sumatra Pasak Bumi'. The Indonesian 200:1 Tongkat Ali Extract.

Now, hopefully you won't break open the capsule and taste it out of curiosity because that's just pointless (even though I did it). You are supposed to swallow the capsule, not eat it. :-)

So drink it with a nice tall glass of water, and give it about 30mins - an hour to kick in...but realistically, you'll find that the effects actually 'happen' after about the end of the first week to the half-way mark of the second week.

DOSE

  • 1 Capsule, Twice a day for the first Week to Assess tolerance/sensitivity.
  • Then 2 Capsules, twice a day, starting on Week Two.
  • Then continue on 2 capsules/twice a day for 2 weeks and then take off for one full week before resuming the same dose (cycling it).

EFFECTS
  1. The first week even on a lower dose, you will notice a sure boost in mood, a slight increase in libido, and a sensation of aggressive-tone during workouts, that particular last effect peaks though, on week 2 and beyond.
  2. Then you will notice at the end of the first week, larger strength output (at least I did), not just in the gym, but also with work if you are laying brick pattern or concrete, or with tree-work and the like.
  3. The second week is the golden-week, where you notice all the effects kick in at once, in overdrive. The surges in libido, and testosterone levels will accentuate your behavior (and mood), and will begin to play a bigger part in your accomplishments both in the gym and in the bedroom.
  4. I've noticed that specifically, your drive to pro-create will be as high as your 'want' to experiment.  That includes with possible S&M scenarios, aggressive dominance and role play (depending on personality of course), as well as with even the idea of 'new type of brawds' aka, foreign, tiny if not previously, or perhaps of a different ethnicity specifically.
  5. Finally, your strength, muscle gains, and libido / fantasies will culminate on week 4 and beyond of this product, so I suggest you buy 2 bottles or at least stock up well before your last week!

Well, that's my review!

Stay tuned for updates on this and more products!

Where to Buy PT-141 Online (Review and In-Site Store Provided)

PT-141 or Bremelanotide is a research chemical, research & development drug, studied primarily for the purpose of female sexual dysfunction (FSD) [1] - focusing mainly on low libido states of which are resolvable by melanocortin-receptor agonists, of which PT-141 falls into this category.

PT-141 being an optimized a-MSH (alpha-melanocyte-stimulating-hormone) analogue [2], and an incredibly potent melanocortin receptor agonist [3] , is suitable as a potent aphrodisiac for men and women.

It affects the hypothalamus; boosting neuronal activity and stimulating structures associated with sexual functioning [4]

So now we know about PT-141, or you already did. Now, how do we buy it?
That's the question especially since some of the smaller research chemical companies have either stopped selling it, or are so sketchy that you have to wonder if it is the real thing.

I have found that Naps Gear is a solid source for PT-141.

{Light Portal} Area-1255's 5 Ways to Boost Melanin Naturally and Increase Tanning (2016 Increase Melanin Tanning)

{ If you are looking for PT-141 or MT II CLICK HERE }

So it is summer time, and I suppose some of you may have trouble tanning, or burn easily. I am going to write a brief summary on how you can change your diet and supplementation routine - to increase tolerability to the sun and then pigmentation.

First off, understand that your body needs certain chemicals, nutrients and co-factors to produce melanin (which pigments the skin).

There are 5 nutrients you should assuredly be getting in your diet.

METHOD #1 (Essential Nutrients/Co-Factors)

Copper - Copper is essential to producing melanin and also speeds up norepinephrine production which helps to increase metabolism. Too much though will cause nutrient imbalance and slow down your metabolism. Just get adequate amounts by consuming peanuts, almonds and other copper containing foods. (1)(2)

L-TYROSINE - L-Tyrosine is an amino acid precursor to both Dopamine and Melanin synthesis. Get plenty of this amino acid in your diet or supplement with it.  (3)(4)

VITAMIN D - Vitamin D is absolutely essential and you can easily find a supplement or just drink a lot of MILK. Vitamin D receptors increase as you are exposed to the sun, so get out more often to tan more even if you aren't seeing results right away!  (5) (6) (7)

VITAMIN C -  Vitamin C also increases both tyrosinase and melanin by activating a mitogen-activated protein kinase. (8)

Be sure to keep eating your fruit and drinking plenty of juice - by any means to increase Vitamin C intake.

B-Vitamins - B Vitamins are absolutely essential for melanin production and play a VITAL ROLE in dopamine and tyrosinase production(which leads to more melanin).

METHOD #2 (Forskolin and cAMP Analogues)

There is a supplement called "Forskolin" and this increases a substance called "cAMP" or "Cyclic Adenosine MonoPhosphate" which triggers PKA activation and then dopamine and melanin synthesis.

Forskolin is a near perfect way to increase melanin and you can get it in a cream form below.

GET FORSKOLIN CONTAINING CREAM HERE

You can also take it orally as a dietary supplement but the results may be slower this way.

Perhaps combine both types of Forskolin if you have the money, which will accelerate this process.

Here are some good reports on Forskolin use below.

METHOD #3 (STRATEGIC cAMP Enhancement)

Moving past and beyond forskolin, you can synergise the tanning results of forskolin by Adding the Following supplements that also enhance cAMP production.

BETA-AGONISTS - Such as HIGENAMINE (or NOROCLAURINE), Albuterol, CLENbuterol.
DO NOT ABUSE THESE SUBSTANCES.
A safe and legal product containing sufficient amounts of Higenamine and can be STACKED with Forskolin is known as "Alpha-T2" and also acts as a thermogenic to help you blast the fat off.

METHOD # 4 - BOOST NITRIC OXIDE PRODUCTION

Nitric Oxide will help improve blood flow and also protect your skin from sunburn, this is a very important and overlooked factor when it comes to tanning. Nitric Oxide also plays a role in how our body uses dopamine so we should be equally concerned with this key point.

Read these articles concerning this fact.

Nitric Oxide Protects from UVA-Induced Apoptosis (Cell Death)

Ways to boost N.O Production Naturally.

1.) Eat Celery, Beets and other Nitrate Containing Foods.

2.) Supplement with L-Arginine and L-Citrulline.
3.) Get plenty of Vitamin C, Zinc and Magnesium in your diet.
4.) Take a supplement called "PYCNOGENOL".
5.) Eat berries and other foods that contain "Anthocyanids" and RESVERATROL.

METHOD # 5 - PT-141, MELANOTAN II and other "Research Chemicals"

Ceretropic Centrophenoxine Review (Review of Ceretropic's Centrophenoxine by Area1255)

I've GOT A GREAT BIG BUNDLE OF ...
CENTROPHENOXINE!
Yes, a cluster, or snowball of Ceretropic's Centrophenoxine powder product. In all fairness, the clumping could be because of the temperature I keep my place at.

One thing is for sure, this is one strong tasting nootropic.

I aim to keep this review fairly short, centrophenoxine is a difficult nootropic to judge. It's effects are there, even nearly right away, but mainly, they show up later. The best part of them anyhow.

Centrophenoxine is a mildly stimulating substance. I took 150 MG X3 a day, so a total of 450 MG in one day. This continued on for about 3 weeks, then I took a one week break, and resumed to finish my exams.

Note, it is not necessary to cycle centrophenoxine. I've never heard of anyone specifically cycling it, or more specifically, needing to. I'm not aware of any research showing it is necessary to cycle it either.

The effects of centrophenoxine (and btw this is REAL centro) are like a simmering pot of melting gold. Ok maybe that's a bit of an exaggeration, but it's a good description visually. The effects relate mostly to mental sharpness, but also to judgement. That's how I can describe centro. It helps with judgement. It helped me with efficiency in handling some decisions relating to the building of a fence that had to be managed, and it helped when I was picking up a shift at the the nearby mental ward. It also helped when dealing with family matters.

The idea is it basically gives you a sense of connectivity to your environment, a sense of awareness, and a sense of insight, specifically, it allows you to see more `'in-depth'` the possibilities of others behavior and the consequences of unraveling. Many people go about life just doing things by the moment, sometimes with no reasonable expectation of possibilities, and thus, when a difficult situation arises, they have to get up and deal with it, often in a huff, and because of lack of preparedness.

Many people underestimate the significance of being mentally prepared, often only thinking about physical preparedness, and then having to work 'uphill' whenever a difficult situation comes to be.

Centro helps you to realize this before it becomes necessary to. It just gives you this sense of assurance, and sense of readiness. Mental preparedness. Not like a jittery, or fight-or-flight kind, but just a sense of outlook. That's whats important about this product.

Other things I've noticed about this product.

  • I think it may have enhanced my creative thinking a little bit, but only because of the increased attention, more like the swift-decision making ability led to not overthinking things, such as when making WMM movies.
  • It seems this product made me more motivated in terms of finishing things I started in a short time span. Quicker, would be the word. Less deviation from the task at hand.
  • More collected, you just feel more 'together' on this. You feel ready to tackle things because you are more easily seeing 'the whole picture'. There's less effort, less strain when looking at even difficult tasks.
  • You feel more patient on this.
  • Little things like candy, or water, seem to be more efficiently utilized? It seems that every little thing you eat or drink on this becomes rationed as energy and vibrance of thought. Everything you put into your body is rapidly utilized.
  • You feel less thirsty on this product.

So that's my conclusion on this product, another 5/5 for Ceretropic!

Ceretropic Coluracetam Review (Area1255's Review of Coluracetam from Ceretropic)

To confirm, this review is about the powder, not the liquid solution.

Alright folks, this time it's time for a review of Ceretropic's ''little guy racetam'' review - that's my name for Coluracetam. I also like to call Colour, ''the vibrant offspring of Mr.Racetam''. Mr.Racetam or 'Parent Racetam' being Piracetam - the original racetam.

Coluracetam, often misspelled (even by myself) as 'colouracetam' or 'coloracetam', is a nootropic substance or nootropic chemical, that is, a chemical that allows for the enhancement or improvement of memory and other aspects of cognition[1].

Coluracetam (MKC-231) acts as a high-affinity choline uptake enhancer [2], this simply means it allows acetylcholine to be more readily available for the brain. It alters the transporter and efficiently enhances the acetylcholines movement into the synapse.

In even simpler terms, it allows our brain to function better by ensuring acetylcholine is rapidly made available to our brain cells.

Acetylcholine is one of the most important neurotransmitters involved in memory [3], and is deficient in Alzheimer's brains [4].

Now of course, I don't have Alzheimer's, I'm quite a sharp guy. Not even 30 yet. So the point of this review is to provide a substantial background so others know what to expect when ordering this product.

                                       THE DOSING

I chose to take 30 MG or thirty miligrams per day. It was usually all at one sitting bright and early in the morning, before food even goes into my stomach.

It was the powder, so I used this scale to measure it out. Which I bought on Amazon.

                                          THE TASTE
Coluracetam is not the most awful tasting drug, in fact, it's not awful tasting at all (and technically not a drug, more like a supplement).

Coluracetam has a mild bitter taste, ya know after measuring it out I simply put it on my tongue directly, no effort to dissolve in water. Not necessary. For me at least.

The aftertaste isn't strong either, you don't really notice it, if you do, drink some orange juice or something.

It's not that difficult to mask.

THE EFFECTS
This is the best part. Coluracetam is a bit subtle, but then very noticeable after I'd say day four. To be fair, I only started with 5MG the first day so I can't reasonably expect anything at that dose. It wasn't until the third day of being on 30 MG (fourth day in altogether) that I noticed a sense of clarity, level-headedness, and when out, a vocabulary and insight enhancement.

Verbal memory is ON FIRE with this stuff. Words I forgot I knew come fast on this! That's the first aspect I really like but...

It's also the 'organized' feeling, you don't have to rely on stimulants as much, but if you do take stimulants, this puts the buzz or the alertness, more specifically, on a cruise of clarity. I wouldn't say it dulls the emotional highs of anything, in fact, I think it enhances them.

To be honest, the only stimulant I used while on this was Coffee. So I guess the above statement is a little generalized.

This whole writing pattern of mine is a little different, and spontaneous, I honestly didn't want to write the review today, but hey, didn't have anything better to do, least til' later.

Coluracetam helps you in identifying structure, and it gives you a calm sense of awareness. You become aware of your environment, moreso than usual, but you are still very much so 'with it'. So you won't deviate from conversation even if you are identifying information from the background. You'll still be able to focus even on hard tasks (like studying) and yet remember everything going on around you. That's an excellent feeling!

The other thing I noticed is that small little things you may have forgot about, things that aren't necessarily related to work, but perhaps family matters (minor issues on the to do list, in my case as an example), become suddenly engaged - simply because you remember them out of nowhere!

That defines nootropic in my opinion.

Coluracetam is brilliant stuff. I know most people are into Piracetam and Aniracetam, and I like those too, but this is actually better in a way because of how 'gentle' it is.

By the third week, all of these effects are intensified, but again, still not losing their 'gentle pace' either. Meaning, I've never gotten jittery on this, and no anxiety, or mood issues. In fact, the product is so calming, and yet so alerting, that it creates a balance within yourself, that essentially creates a brighter worldview, which then essentially leads to a moodlift - at least that's my experience.

I wasn't taking any other supplements at the time, with sole exception of a multivitamin. That's so I can experience this product for what it is, and not have any confusion.

I understand some people want to combine their nootropics to maximize effects, but I don't like doing that until I know how each one affects me separately. I don't feel there's much point to just jumping to a 'stack' if I don't see the beauty in each one.

Otherwise it's like playing with someone else's tools to build a structure, or taking an ashtray of pills and popping them into a drink and gulping it down. It seems wrong, displaced and it defeats the purpose.

It takes a wise man to recognize and properly apply each component of his life into his work, and that's what I feel should be done here.

When building ANYTHING, including a supplement stack, you want to know specifically, the effects of each component, if you can't appreciate and also properly summarize each component - then how will you know the end result of the combination?

These paragraphs here are a representation of my feelings about this supplement as well, I have had to put no effort into this, or at least what feels like no effort, simply because it comes from the heart, and from the truth. Or perhaps its because this supplement, just makes everything feel so elegant, serene. Smooth. Efficient. I guess that would be consistent with the medical and scientific literature regarding Coluracetam.

So that's it ladies and gentlemen, that's my review of Ceretropics Coluracetam.

It's a beautiful product, and you should all try it.

5/5
